Description : Pierre Giraudon (1923–2012) was a biologist who, in the 1940s, invented a method to embed plants and animals in resin for scientific use. After moving to France in 1949, he began creating resin art, including sculptures and lamp bases. Although he worked with César and gained recognition, Giraudon always considered himself a biologist, not an artist.
