Description : Chair 611 , designed by Alvar Aalto in 1929, is a stacking auditorium chair made of solid birch, also known as the "row chair." Initially used in Aalto's Jyväskylä Defence Corps Building, it became famous for its lightweight design and space-saving ability. Aalto collaborated closely with manufacturer Otto Korhonen to refine and commercialize the design, which was an improved version of Korhonen's earlier stackable chair.
